Here is an update for March 28, 2020 on Rev. Dr. Richard O McEachern...
I trust you and your families are doing well, as it is my Prayer that you are all holding on and keeping the Faith during this dreaded COVID 19 Virus. Right now we are all troubled by COVID 19 which has affected and infected so many people, even our own Church family. Nevertheless We believe that God will see us through this.
Psalm 46:1-2 (a) reminds us: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever –present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear…….” (NIV).
Although we are restricted by physical touch, it is my desire to keep us spiritually connected and above all accurately informed. As most of you know the Pastor has been stricken with this horrible virus. So much so that he is presently hospitalized due to having difficulty breathing due to excessive coughing. This has been very difficult for our family, since I too and Richard Jr. have both tested Positive for COVID 19. Thank God our daughter Nia is COVID 19 negative and has been shouldering the weight of caring for the family.
At the present moment the Pastor is stable and maintained on Oxygen as a means to control has breathing. He is in good spirits and although the family is not allowed to visit him, we are able to communicate daily through text so that he may conserve his vocal energy. You may text him well wishes but, PLEASE because of his coughing he can not answer or return any calls.
I am aware that although we are facing uncertainty as to when we will resume corporate gathering for worship, now is the time to come up with creative solutions.
Since we are unable to physically come together we can worship together from our homes. Rev. Days, myself and Bro. Tony Smith have created a means in which worship will be conducted via video posting to the Macedonia AME Facebook page www.facebook.com/macedoniaamec/ and our website, www.macedoniaamec.org . Please feel free to connect via theses mediums on Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m.
Many thanks to Rev. Days, for keeping our Bible Study going, to the Evangelist for creating a 24 hour Prayer line and to Bro. Tony Smith for his Audio/Video expertise and to all of you for your diligent and steadfast Prayers. For it will Truly take, “The Prayers of the Righteous that Availeth Much,” for Us To Overcome This Virus.
I would like to encourage you to continue giving your tithes and offerings so that we will continue to meet the financial obligations of the church.
We love and miss you and Pray God will bestow His Grace and Mercy upon you and your families.
Blessings & Love,
Rev. Dr. Ellen McEachern
